We are currently working on proposals for the extension of a detached house with a contemporary design in Twickenham, south-west London.<\/h2>\n

The rear of the house is to be extended under permitted development, to create a modern clean extension containing a new kitchen and living space. There will also be alterations at first and upper levels to the windows to tie it all together, as well as internal reconfigurations to create a modern family home.<\/p>\n

At the rear of the garden, a summer house with home-office space and garden storage, will reflect the style of the main extension in form, materials and the design of the glazing. Work is due to start on site September 2012.<\/p>\n

At school, he focused on art, carpentry, physics and the history of art, before gaining his architectural qualifications at PCL and Cambridge University. Prior to setting up Granit Architects, Robert worked under renowned architect Demetri Porphyrios, had spells at the UK\u2019s Department for the Environment - where he worked on projects for the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the Tower of London - and as a junior architect for the Murray Cockburn Partnership in Fiji. At Granit, Robert has developed a rich expertise in designing residential buildings for both private clients and commercial investors. His architecture has appeared in The Architects Journal, Grand Designs, Living etc, The Sunday Telegraph, RIBA Housing Design Guide, Ideal Homes Magazine, Channel4.com\u2019s Designer Homes series and more.
